輔仁大學天主教學術研究院將於2026年6月12日至13日舉辦第十六屆天主教國際學術研討會，會議主題為「歷史記憶與信仰傳承：天主教會的足跡與展望」。首先，本屆研討會將特別紀念道明會來台傳教四百年的歷史足跡，藉由歷史記憶梳理與信仰傳承再思，開展天主教學術研究新視野。其次，會議期許透過多元研究方法與跨文化視角，深化對天主教會傳教歷史的探索與理解，以聚焦於天主教傳教史各領域研究，包括重要歷史人物與機構的探討、檔案典藏與文獻詮釋、原住民研究、數位人文應用等。期能藉由相關研究的發表，促進成果分享、強化知識傳承，並展望天主教會在亞洲及全球發展的未來方向。
本次會議徵求聚焦教會歷史的學術論文，特別是與台灣天主教會相關的內容，歡迎對以下主題（但不限於）有興趣的學者專家不吝賜稿：
◇ 道明會與十七世紀在台傳教史
◇ 十七至二十世紀東亞傳教史
◇ 天主教男女修會團體與台灣教會發展
◇ 天主教會在台之政治社會處境與體制變遷
◇ 天主教會與台灣原住民族之歷史互動與文化共融

The 16th Fu Jen Academia Catholica International Conference
Historical Memory and the Transmission of Faith:
The Catholic Church’s Trajectories and Future Horizons
June 12–13, 2026

The Fu Jen Academia Catholica will convene the 16th International Conference on Catholic Studies on June 12–13, 2026. In commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the Dominican Order’s missionary presence in Taiwan, the conference will invite renewed reflection on historical memory and the transmission of faith, and encourage dialogue on the future of Catholic studies in Asia and beyond.
The conference will also seek to advance scholarly inquiry into the history of the Catholic Church through interdisciplinary methodologies and comparative, transregional perspectives. It welcomes research on missionary encounters, ecclesiastical institutions, historical agents, archival sources, indigenous engagement, and digital approaches to religious history.
Scholars from related disciplines are cordially invited to submit paper proposals focusing on Church history, with particular attention to topics related to the Catholic experience in Taiwan.
Suggested Topics (including but not limited to):
Ø The Dominican Order and Catholic missions in Taiwan in the 17th century
Ø Catholic missionary history in East Asia (17th–20th centuries)
Ø Catholic religious orders and the development of the Church in Taiwan
Ø The political and social contexts of the Catholic Church in Taiwan and institutional change
Ø Historical interactions and cultural integration between the Catholic Church and indigenous peoples in Taiwan
Ø Archival collections, textual interpretation, and digital humanities in Sinophone Catholic studies
