「雷鳴遠神父《華文聖體降福經文》選曲」音樂專輯正式推出

雷鳴遠（Vincent Lebbe, 1877-1940）為知名的比利時籍傳教士，獻身於中國傳教事業，為提倡教會本地化的先驅，並歸化中國。雷神父創立了兩個本地修會，即耀漢小兄弟會與德來小妹妹會。為了這兩個團體的靈修與禮儀需求，雷神父採用本地化的禮儀實踐方式，將他熱愛的天主教會聖樂傳統額我略歌曲（Gregorian chant，另譯為葛雷果聖歌）與中國語言結合，為耶穌會士利類思（Lodovico Buglio, 1606-1682）翻譯的文言文禮儀經文重新配上額我略曲調。在天主教中文聖樂的演進與發展中，這是相當重要的里程碑。

除了編輯日課與彌撒等主要的禮儀歌曲之外，在雷鳴遠神父所改編的歌曲中，另一個重點是以中文詠唱的聖體降福歌曲，內容包括「聖體經文」、「聖心經文」、「聖母經文」、「降福後經文」等，再加上部分耀漢會與德來會專用的部分歌曲。輔仁大學天主教學術研究院與耀漢會和德來會合作，重新整理編輯了《華文聖體降福經文》樂譜，並選擇其中的精華曲目，由輔仁大學聖樂合唱團（男聲團）錄製而成這張專輯，希望讓更多人能夠接觸到雷鳴遠神父所留下的中文聖樂寶藏。

Selected Works from the Chinese Chants for the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament Adapted and Compiled by Fr. Vincent Lebbe

Fr. Vincent Lebbe (1870-1940), a renowned Belgian missionary priest, dedicated his life to the evangelization of the Chinese people and was most praised for his contribution to the indigenization of the Catholic Church in China. Not only was he himself a naturalized Chinese citizen, but he established two local religious congregations—the Little Brothers of St. John the Baptist (CSJB) and the Little Sisters of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus (CST). For the spiritual formation and liturgical practice of his Chinese confreres, Fr. Lebbe adopted the strategy of inculturation by combining his beloved Gregorian chant with the Chinese language. He mostly used classical Chinese texts—elegantly translated more than two centuries before his time by Fr. Lodovico Buglio, SJ (1606-1682) —and set them to the tunes of Gregorian chant. The rich corpus of Chinese chants rendered by Fr. Vincent Lebbe is now one of the most significant milestones in the historic development of Chinese Catholic sacred music.

In addition to chants used for the Divine Office and the Mass, Fr. Lebbe also worked extensively on Chinese chants for the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, which is regarded as the most important form of Eucharistic devotion. Fu Jen Academia Catholica, at Fu Jen Catholic University collaborated with the Little Brothers of St. John the Baptist and the Little Sisters of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus to edit and compile the Chinese Chants for the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. The Men’s Choir of Schola Cantorum of Fu Jen Catholic University selected some of the most important works and recorded them in this album in order that more people can access the heritage of Chinese sacred music bestowed on us by Fr. Vincent Lebbe.
